Seasonal public announcement for Towanda Borough Property owners:

• Reminder that all property owners are responsible for the removal, cutting, or disposal & elimination of weeds, grasses, rank vegetation or other uncontrolled plant growth on their property, which, is in excess of 10″ in height.  Please do not mow or rake any cut grass or plant growth into the streets.

Open burning:

• Borough of Towanda Ordinance No. 2017-1 – An ordinance regulating the conduct of open burning and emission of smoke within the Borough of Towanda was passed on April 3, 2017.  The Ordinance is available for pick-up at the Towanda Municipal Building or Click below to download a copy.
